Along with blood donation drive an eye donation campaign too was arranged at Kanpur and there was a good response . Hats off to all the donors.

आजचे ( २३ जुलै २० १ ३ ) माझे लोकसत्तेमधील पत्र वाचून माझ्या ब्लॉगला भेट देणाऱ्यांचे मी मनःपूर्वक स्वागत करून आभारही व्यक्त करतो .

आपण सविस्तर माहितीसाठी ह्या  ब्लॉगवरील सर्व पोस्ट सवडीनुसार जरूर पहाव्यात , शंका कुशंका जरूर विचाराव्यात, काही सूचना असल्यास कराव्यात, नेत्रदानविषयक माहिती - साहित्य - फोटो - व्हिडीओ या ब्लॉगवर टाकण्यासारखे असल्यासही जरूर मला मेल करावे. 

मराठी , हिंदी , इंग्रजी भाषांतून सविस्तर माहितीपत्रके मेलने मागवून ती पुढे अनेकांना पाठवावी ( Forward करावी). 

मराठी , हिंदी , इंग्रजी भाषांतून ४५ मिनिटांची माझी व्याख्याने आयोजित करण्याचा किंवा निदान गणेशोत्सवांतून वगैरे आयोजित करण्याविषयी सुचविण्याचा तरी प्रयत्न करावा ही कळकळीची विनंती. 

आपल्या अशा अमूल्य सहकार्यातून पुढेमागे भरीव असे काही निष्पन्न होऊन अनेक दृष्टिहीन देशबांधवांना अमूल्य दृष्टी मिळेल असा सार्थ विश्वास वाटतो.  

श्रीपाद  आगाशे - अल्प परिचय 

भाभा अणु संशोधन केंद्रातून निवृत्त.३६ वेला रक्त दान केले असून  १९८१ पासून वैयक्तिक  पातळीवर नेत्रदान प्रचार-प्रसाराचे  कार्य करीत आहेत.

विविध प्रकारे माहिती देणे,  सार्वजनिक समारंभ - सोसायट्या- शाळा महाविद्यालये - गणेशोत्सव  वगैरे ठिकाणी मराठी - इंग्रजी - हिंदी मधून पाऊण तासांची व्याख्याने देणे , पोस्टर प्रदर्शने भरवणे , ग्राहक पेठा - सार्वजनिक समारंभ - सोसायट्या - रेल्वे स्थानके वगैरे ठिकाणी stall टाकणे , प्रचार साहित्याची निर्मिती करणे वगैरे उपक्रम पार  पाडतात.

सुमारे १५० व्याख्याने दिली असून १०० ठिकाणी  stall टाकले आहेत.  

४ भाषांत माहितीपत्रके तयार केली असून सुमारे  सव्वा  लाख माहितीपत्रके प्रसृत केली आहेत.

' डोळस दान ' ( एकांकिका ) आणि ' प्रकाशाची  पहाट ' हा  नेत्रदानावरील कवितांचा संग्रह प्रकाशित. नेत्रदानावरील मराठीतील ही एकमेवाद्वितीय अशी पुस्तके असावीत.   

www.netradaan.blogspot.com हा ब्लॉग चालवतात. फेसबुकवरही माहिती देण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात तसेच  email ने माहितीपत्रके पाठवतात.

Eye Bank Association of India चे आजीव सभासद असून विविध नेत्रपेढ्यांचे  सुमारे ७००० फॉर्म भरून घेतले आहेत.

मृताच्या  वारसाना भेटून नेत्रदानासाठी  प्रवृत्त करण्याचे प्रयत्न करतात.आतापर्यंत प्रत्यक्ष- अप्रत्यक्ष सुमारे १०० नेत्रदाने  झाली आहेत.दूरदर्शन,इतर वाहिन्या तसेच आकाशवाणीवर  मुलाखती  झाल्या आहेत.

काही संस्थांचे पुरस्कार मिळाले आहेत.
